Initiating responses was a unique workshop, where 40 young artists in the age range of 8 to 28, worked in five groups to produce five collaborative works. All the projects were inspired by the venue of the workshop, the Birla Industrial & Technological Museum and were examples of a playful blend of artistic imagination and scientific rigour. Out of the eight young artists in each group, two were adults who worked as facilitators. The five groups of Initiating responses were christened with double barrel names, borrowing from a scientist's name and an artist's name.Here are glimpses of the groups and their work:
